Hi, Simon. I've very interested in where this "undisclosed" South Pacific paradise turned out to be. I can't figure it out from your subsequent messages. Are you ready to reveal the secret yet?

Hi Simon. I'm new to your website and I'm really enjoying your insights and advice. I have one suggestion: I can't tell when your reports were written unless there are comments, which do suggest the general period. Since I don't have time to read and digest everything and since the economic circumstances are changing so fast, it would be nice to know which of your reports are the most current (and the advice therein still applicable). Is there a date somewhere that I'm overlooking, or could one be added?

Thanks for your good work.

Great report! It would be nice if there was somewhere in Singapore or Panama to store bullion though.

Simon,

Good, specific information on moving gold and storing it offshore. Given your proclivity for Panama, I am wondering why this is not a country you include. Why not have a bank account, gold repository, and an interactive broker all in Panama? And while we are at it, what is Panama's current stance on banking privacy?

Best,

Scott

Hello Simon,

My name is Martin Vaughn. First off, I seriously enjoy details of your travels and adventures. I left the US in 2001 and spent the next eight years in Argentina, Malaysia, Thailand, HK, Philippines, China, and New Zealand. After eight years out, I have just returned to the US for a year of contract work; thinking I might buy some land in the countryside and take it simple for a few decades (growing foods and counting my gold each night, laugh). Frankly, from the moment I hit the LA airport on my way to Atlanta, it was severely apparent that I just don't belong here, cannot live here whatsoever... Felt like a foreigner in a strange land (compared to how comfortable I feel in all of the countries listed above). At this point, I am beginning the considerations in regards to Uruguayan residency vs malaysian 10 year visa vs philippine residency. All are very easy to do, costs not too extreme (nil for uruguayan). Leaning towards Uruguay as it comes with a passport route down the road a few years whereas the other two do not. Ah, hope to hear more from you on the south Pacific island opportunity you hinted at yesterday... I think the only thing I miss outside of the US is being able to build a nice gun collection, being a serious believer in personal safety and security... Anyway, thanks sincerely for including us in your thoughts and travels. It is an encouragement, a validation, and an opportunity.

Though I know you are quite busy with travels at this time, I would like to leave a request with you. If you could put this on the backburner and consider it when you have more adequate time, I believe it would seriously benefit more of your readers than just myself. I read your report on gold transport and storage, and would ask you to take it a step further. Would you please let us know if you personally, or any of your contacts, could discover a non-US broker/futures exchange where we would be able to conduct metals futures trading without the requirement of being cash settled(ie., the opportunity to actually deliver the bar into your physical possession). As detailed below, I sell put options (a few a year, particularly when volatility is high for optimal options pricing) on gold and silver futures. When the options finish ITM, my account pays for the bars and broker accepts the warehouse depository receipt(WDR), specifying the exact bar serial numbers, into my account. Sometimes I take delivery, other times I sell calls against the WDR to generate additional income on the metals. So I trade commodities futures and invest in a number of CTA programs in the US, and I , on occasion, taken delivery of metals from comex storage though I more often sell calls against the metals to generate additional income. I have tried to find a broker, internationally, who has relationships with an overseas metals exchange allowing delivery (Swiss, Dubai, maybe HK, and a few others if I recall correctly), and can accomodate this same investment strategy. But seem unable to find a broker or private banking relationship with a group who has the capabilities to support this.

i.e.:

1) Sell put contracts on gold and silver futures
2) If the put contract is in-the-money at expiration, broker receives the warehouse depository receipt; else keep put commission and try again
3) Sell calls against the bullion that your warehouse delivery receipt covers; or arrange physical delivery to my overseas bank in that same jurisdiction.

I have searched, but have been unable to find information on this outside of the US. Within the US, I have used this strategy quite successfully. There must be a broker or private bank investment service who can handle this in the international arena. But as of yet, I have been unable to find!

Thanks again Simon. Sorry to trouble you. I figure that amongst your readers you might have a number of others who would like to accumulate more international bullion holdings (and allocate part of the holdings to generation of income to fund additional bullion holdings as well) in a more efficient manner than paying premium price from a bullions dealer. The futures exchange is the lowest cost manner and also provides opportunity for income through options commissions on both side of the trade.

Note: I use MFGlobal as the futures broker handlind delivery in US and Interactive Brokers for my equities investments.

Best regards,
Martin

Simon -

Are you ever available for a consult? I have several business related questions I would like to review.

The South Pacific sounds fine to me. Thanks.

DG

P.s. The link does work. All it takes is but a bit of ingenuity.

Linkie in email did not work, but one on this page above did work. Concise & to the point! Great quick-read primer here.

Where in SoPac? Eager to hear more about opportunities there, wherever "there" is.

Give my regards to the Merlion. Hope to be seeing it soon myself. Eagerly awaiting your updates on good old Singa-bore, KL, et al.

OMG!! If you go to the comments section, where you all are NOW, the link in the message works. It was linked to Intman that was passed to Casey research.
SEVERAL of us have mentioned you just change to sovereignman and works fine.
I usually enjoy reading the comments, but REPEATED "link doesn't work" seems silly, when you've been told how to fix it if you read the previous comments.!

G'Day Simon,

Have read your latest missive with some interest as I live and invest in the South Pacific. Namely the nation of Vanuatu. I don't think this is where you are writing from as some of the things you mentioned are somewhat inconsistent with what is happening here at the moment.

However if you do drop in to check things out when next you are in this neck of the woods please allow me the opportunity to show you around and buy you a frosty beverage or two.

Cheers,

I confirmed my e-mail address 2x and cannot access the report on moving and storing gold. I really want to read it. Please email me a link that is acitve as the one you e-mailed does not open.
I am interested in your investment/jv opportunities.

Hi Simon,
No doubt I am not the first to let you know that the link for the special report doesn't function.
Re:Manila. I agree with you. The people are wonderful and helpful. There doesn't seem to be a lot of scams. But frankly, from two personal experiences, the medical care there is not very good. Even the top dentist in Makati, whose patients are all from the financially higher classes, botched up a crown in a friend's mouth, and he had to have it completely re-done in the US. However, good advanced medical care is available in Thailand or India, (and maybe HK and Taiwan) so one could still live in the Philippines yet go for advanced health care elsewhere.
Best wishes.

Hi, Simon:

The link to “How to move and securely store gold overseas,” does not seem to be working.

By the way, what do you think is the current size of your readership?

Take care and try not to get too spoiled,

Greetings Simon,
Thank you very much for your free gift offer "How to move.....overseas". That's very kind of you and much appreciated as usual. There seems to be a glitch here though: I wrote my name and email address as requested and a confirmation came to my mail box. However when I click the link, all I get is that the site is not available. I tried a number of times, using the refresh button and other methods but to no avail. When you have a chance, please let me know if I'm the only one with this issue or do any of your other subscribers experience the same problem?

I want to take this opportunity to let you know that I was one of the lucky ones to obtain your "Black Papers" on Panama. I've read it once and now I'm going to digest it and sort it out based on my particular needs. I know it will be very helpful and I want to thank you again for taking the initiative and the time to produce it. Great work!

Unfortunately your gold report would not open through my server (iinet.net.au) here in Australia. Will try again later, cheers, John.

PS, your letter is short and fun and one of the first I read about 5AM (3AM in N.Y.) after checking the gold and silver prices on Casey Research plus the Dow and S&P 500.

Simon,

The link you gave in today's missive for the Storing Gold report, pointed to the old intlman.com website, and it wasn't found. I simply changed it to point to your new website sovereignman.com and there it was! The correct URL is http://www.sovereignman.com/Move%20and%20store%20gold%20overseas.pdf

As to the contents of the book, looks great -- although I haven't read completely thru it yet! A couple of other spots besides Vienna and Dubai would be useful for storage locations recommendations, esp. S.America, Panama, Asia.

Thanks,
Jim.

I presume you are in Vanuatu. Correct? I'm trying VERY HARD to get another passport and expatriate but it seems there MUST be a better way than paying Henley and St Kitts for a document of questionable long term value. Am i wrong? Or is there a better way. Does "Grandpa" have the answer? I want to do this before year end if possible. All my assets are in my name at a US online brokerage firm but I want to get them outside the grubby clutches of marxist potentates. I use leverage so i need cheap financing on the order of that offered by Interactive Brokers. Any thoughts? BTW, I purchased your Panama book. I've had some dealings with MossFon and Infante if you care to compare notes.

Hello Mr. Black!

Re. Storing gold overseas report

This message is to let you know that I could not access your free report. After registering, I received the return e-mail asking me to download the free document (not to confirm my e-mail address) but the document once again could not be accessed. I trust you're having a good time on the undisclosed island and I hope the native women are "hospitable" and good looking.

Thank you.

Simon,
The link to you free gold report does not work.

Have fun in Singapore I was there a couple of weeks ago. Hope you can share the island story soon. I've a friend that is trying to close a deal on Tonga for a new resort area.
Cheers, Mike
