How useful is such a strategy with international operations, but needing a "local outfit" where the earning power is? And with US, for example, have an offshore company own a US-based LLC or company if most of the earnings opportunity/customers are US-based? Obviously not ideal anywhere. But can it be functional if you need to appear to be "close to your customers" in order to keep the income rolling?
