Thak you Simon for your piece on Swedbank. I was able to pick up puts on Swedbank with expiry in february at strike 48 SEK today paying a premia of only 5,75 SEK per option.

If Swedbank really does falter badly from here, it will almost certainly revisit the lows of this year, and I will pocket a handsome profit.
If not, I will have spent pocket change on the options. I cannot believe people still sell cheap options on this monster. This is a great risk reward trade.

The somewhat more sober norwegian bank DNB is on the record as"very worried" about the baltics going forward, and has only a fraction of Swedbanks exposure. I don't think it's too late to get in on this trade. It's one of those trades that you hear people talking about, but when you ask them if they have it on, they mumble something about difficulty in procuring shares to short etc.
I'm hoping to build a position here in the near future as we are in a broad strong rally. Swedbank's current rise probably won't last.

Simon: What do you mean by "how could the Poles be complacent enough to not make preparations for the coming crisis?"
