Nice article you did here. I was in MI when I was in the Army (Vietnam 68-72) so I kinda relate to what you said about ‘penetrating’ a network. It’s amazing how many people are so passive about positioning themselves in front of or, at least, ‘near’ the action.

I’d like to see your thoughts on getting established in desirable foreign communities as a well integrated expat. Especially as it could relate to somebody, like me, who wants to develop an income online and mobile lifestyle.

I gotta question for you…if I may…

Would you agree with me that there’s a lot of foreign businesses who want more Yankee dollars but they don’t realize the first thing about SEO, SEM, FB, social marketing, using online video, and all those other tools it takes to reach the cocooned American customer today?

I know that’s very much what you find over here in Korea where I’ve been teaching English for the last 3+ years. I’ve had several conversations with businesses in Itaewon, the area where the majority of the foreigners hang out. They don’t have a friggin’ CLUE what proper and effective internet marketing could do for their business.

I will admit that perhaps I’ve been talking to businessmen with the right mindset. All those guys I talked to were basically just successful shop owners that catered to tourists. I might get a different type of interest if I mingled with real business marketing types.

I’d love to migrate to South or Central America when my present contract is done in December. Right now, I’m brushing up on my copy-writing skills (yeah….diverse field I know That’s the direction I’d like to focus on because it’s not tech intensive and is very portable.

Anyplace I can find where there’s good dancing (salsa, bachata, kizomba), good food, and a good internet connection…….I’m interested.

Oh yeah…..how could I forget? Pretty women is high on the list too!

I am very interested and after starting few companies in Panama ,I realized that all Businesses have one thing in Common and that is
“relationship” . Every Business start because somebody gave me good inside info and every Business runs by someone that you have a good relation. It is all about Relationship.
